A Vision of 2025 with The Art SHAC

One of the most rewarding aspects of running a creative reuse nonprofit is the endless potential for community-driven art experiences and collaborative partnerships. We kicked off the new year with one of these inspiring moments: a free Vision Board Party hosted by SHAC board members Devin Lane and Sheridan Watkins at Artworks Gallery, an artist-run cooperative that has been a cornerstone of Winston-Salem’s creative scene since 1984.

The event was packed, every seat filled as participants immersed themselves in dreamy yet actionable intentions for 2025. With donated magazines, ephemera, scissors, and glue, they transformed everyday materials into bold, expressive visions of the future. Guided by Devin and Sheridan’s gentle leadership, the room buzzed with creative energy with each collage representing a powerful manifestation of personal desires and aspirations.

We’re grateful for the high vibrations and creative synergy generated at this community event. Here’s to more collaboration, more dreaming, and more art-filled moments with our Triad community of creatives and nature lovers!

People of various ages sit at a long table making collages with paper, magazines, and glue in a bright room.

Four people proudly display their collages. The room has framed artworks on white walls and a table with craft supplies. Smiling mood.

Three people smile holding colorful collages. Art hangs on the wall behind them.
