The Art SHAC Awarded The Winston-Salem Foundation’s Community Grant

The Art SHAC is thrilled to announce that we are one of the recipients of The Winston-Salem Foundation's Community Grants http://www.wsfoundation.org/. This generous grant of $54,750.00 will enable us to hire our first paid part-time position, significantly increasing our capacity to serve the community.

The Art SHAC’s mission is to inspire creativity and sustainability by providing affordable, gently used art materials and classes to the community. As a 501(c)(3) organization, we are dedicated to supplying inexpensive, quality materials to the local creative community, educating about art and reuse in a fun, playful, and diverse environment, and assisting educators in stretching their budgets with affordable and unique materials.

Our nonprofit organization also offers households, manufacturers, and businesses a way to donate unwanted materials, fostering a green economy.
