By the end of 2025, Art SHAC has reached a remarkable milestone—diverting over 26.5 tons of art supplies and materials from the landfill and turning those items into valuable resources for artists and communities. This achievement showcases how creative reuse and a circular approach can reduce environmental impact while building an accessible, vibrant creative community.

How Art SHAC Diverts Art Supplies from Landfills
Art SHAC takes in donated gently used art supplies and materials that would otherwise be thrown away. These include paints, canvases, brushes, paper, fabric scraps, and other craft items. Instead of letting these items become waste, Art SHAC sorts, cleans, and provides them back to artists, schools, and community groups at incredibly affordable prices.
Supporting Artists and Communities Through Reuse
Art SHAC does more than reduce waste. By making art supplies affordable, the nonprofit helps artists and educators get the materials they need, inspiring creativity and building community.
