About Us

The Art SHAC is a creative reuse nonprofit that reduces waste by diverting materials from landfills. We foster creativity, sustainability, and community connection by repurposing donated art materials into affordable supplies and educational opportunities for artists of all ages.

Position: Retail & Donations Associate (Part-Time)

Starting December 2025, we’re seeking a friendly, organized, and reliable team member to support store operations through customer service, merchandising, and donation processing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist customers with a positive attitude.

  • Provide excellent service at the register and in the donation area.

  • Accurately process sales and donations.

  • Price, stock, and organize merchandise.

  • Keep the shop clean, tidy, and welcoming.

  • Support and guide volunteers during shifts.

What We’re Looking For

  • Communication: Responds promptly and professionally to team messages and updates.

  • Experience/Skills: Strong organizational abilities; familiarity with Square and Google Workspace a plus.

  • Personality: Friendly, dependable, and passionate about creativity and sustainability.

  • Teamwork: Works well independently and collaboratively.

  • Flexibility: Comfortable in a dynamic, hands-on environment.

  • Availability: Must be able to work most Saturdays and stand and lift up to 30 lbs.

  • Pay: $15/hour

  • Hours: 8–16 per week
